Leonard Alexander is CEO of the nonprofit Fearless Dreamers, general contractor, training recruiter, and president of Alexander Builders Corporation. He holds a Journeyman’s Card as a master carpenter and am a professional craftsman. As a former alumnus of the I.D.O.C., having been incarcerated at Cook County Jail, he brings lived experience to conversations about prison reform and program development aimed at disrupting the school-to-prison pipeline. His mission is to bring trades training to people where they are—schools, after-school programs, and correctional facilities—using mass education in the trades as a strategy to counter mass Incarceration.
